DJ Start

From zero, if you have never touched the decks. Beatmatch, mix in key and run your library in rekordbox.

DJ Pro

For those who already play and aim for clubs. Read the room, build a set and get it club-ready.

DJ Intensive

Short on time: the DJ Start basics in a condensed, fast-paced format. Counting, beat, key, decks, rekordbox and transitions.

What you will learn

  • Players, mixer and headphones: what each part does and how it sounds
  • Your rekordbox library: folders, tags, cue points
  • Counting the beat: two tracks locked into one groove
  • Mixing in key so transitions sound clean
  • Transitions and FX: EQ, filter, echo, loop
  • Reading the room: warm-up, peak, closing
  • Recording your set and breaking down every transition with a mentor
  • The goal: playing your own set in front of a live crowd

What gear you learn on

Lessons run on the school’s Pioneer DJ / AlphaTheta gear, so you do not need your own controller to learn. You build your track library in rekordbox. When you want your own gear, ask your mentor; it can be ordered through our partner @loudsound.uz. You can explore the buttons and functions of the players, mixers and rekordbox in advance in the school’s interactive textbook.

Yes. DJ Start is for people who have never stood behind the decks: players, mixer and headphones, your library in rekordbox, beatmatching and mixing in key. Short on time? The same basics come in a condensed format: DJ Intensive.

How is DJ Intensive different from DJ Start?

It is the same program, the DJ Start basics: counting, beat, key, decks, rekordbox and transitions. DJ Intensive covers it in a condensed, fast-paced format for people who are short on time.

How long does the training take?

It depends on the course and the format, one-on-one or a small group. We’ll tell you the length and schedule after your request.

What language are classes in?

Russian or Uzbek; the mentors speak both.

Both: individual lessons or a small group. We’ll send group schedules after your request.

Do you teach online?

Lessons take place at the school in Tashkent, on Pioneer DJ / AlphaTheta gear. If you need another format, say so in your request and we’ll confirm.
